My weight loss journey

Currently, I am 56 years old, and I have maintained my weight for the last 12 years.   I am proud to say that I take no prescription medications - But that wasn’t always my story.

Every woman has a unique path to healing, and my struggles started in childhood. I struggled with weight issues most of my life that led to destructive eating behaviors, anxiety, and prescription medications.  I felt trapped in my body and when I reached my highest weight of 220- I knew I needed to make serious changes to my eating habits.

I dreaded going to the doctor because I would hear about my problems, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and lupus but no real solution except a long list of medications with an even longer list of side effects.

Rather than be frustrated with my doctors for not waving a magic wand, I directed my attention to the underlying issue: me. I was destroying my body with the food I had grown so comfortable with my entire life.  I began my journey to health because I knew there had to be a better way for me to live.

I began teaching myself about nutrition.  I went to every health food store and read every label I could get my hands on to learn HOW to eat.

After making simple adjustments to my eating habits, I saw noticeable improvements in my overall health and achieved my weight loss goals. Now, I use my experience to support other women. Through my own self-healing and education, my focus now is to teach, support and teach women the skills to heal their body  and build lifestyle habits that will allow them to achieve maximum health.
